Legends Cars National Championship with MRF Tyres officials have today revealed the provisional eight event calendar for the hotly anticipated 2020 season, featuring no fewer than 48 races and a return to the schedule after a year away for ever-popular Croft Circuit in North Yorkshire.

Less than a fortnight since the landmark 25th Anniversary season reached its exciting conclusion at Brands Hatch, where Miles Rudman (Sutton Coldfield) claimed his first outright Legends title to bring an end to the four-year reign of John Mickel (Horsham), preparations are well underway for 2020.

The Kent venue will once again book-end the Legends Cars season next year, with the championship getting underway at Brands’ 1.2-mile Indy Circuit over the weekend 4th/5th April and then reaching its conclusion, as ever, at the track’s ‘Fireworks Spectacular’ event on 7th/8th November.

Anglesey in North Wales is the venue for the second race meeting of the year on 9th/10th May, before the pocket rockets head back to Brands for the huge American Speedfest event over the weekend 6th/7th June.

After a year away from the Legends Cars schedule, Croft will welcome the country’s best big grid racing on 11th/12th July and the series will then make its annual visit to the Midlands on 22nd/23rd August at Donington Park National Circuit for the ‘Convoy in the Park’ festival.

Snetterton in Norfolk hosts the sixth race meeting of the season on 19th/20th September and the championship then heads back to Wales, this time to the south of the country, on 3rd/4th October with a visit to Pembrey. Brands Hatch, of course, hosts the finale in early November.

The championship curtain-raiser and the final four race meetings of 2020 will see the Legends Cars run as part of the support bill to the British Truck Racing Championship. At the eighth American Speedfest in June, Legends Cars will be joined by the likes of the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series.

“We’re delighted to announce our provisional calendar for 2020 which retains all of the great tracks from our 25th Anniversary season, and also includes the return of Croft which is fantastic news for everyone”, said Legends Cars National Championship with MRF Tyres owner Phil Cooper.

“This year’s championship was as sensational as ever, some tremendous racing all season long, and we’re confident of more of the same next year where we’ve upped the championship to 16 rounds again and 48 races. As always, thank you to the team at the BARC

[British Automobile Racing Club] for putting together another great calendar for the Legends Cars.”

All of the action from the final weekend of the 2019 Legends Cars season earlier this month, filmed by Digitex Television and sponsored by 24hr Solutions, will be broadcast in the coming weeks on Amazon Prime, online at BARC TV and through the Front Runner television channel.
